Discovery class in Langlade (2)

by Sainte Croisine
Today: Fishing in the pond and the Belle River. The children have discovered different techniques and many living things: dytics, larvae of dragonflies and damselflies, leeches, gerrys ... All have searched with enthusiasm and application! The afternoon was devoted to the study of the harvested animals; students learned to use a determination key to name them. The day ended with collective games outdoors despite the haze! Everyone is happy!

This morning, our animators organized a "who am I" game to rename and rediscover the characteristics of all living beings encountered during our stay. Then the students learned the importance of each animal in the food chain. This afternoon, after having packed all our belongings and finished the housework, the children took part in a treasure hunt a little particular: it was a question of finding the waste deposited previously by Gilles! Thanks to Sylvie, Gilles and Pascale for this enriching stay!

Discovery class in Langlade – M. Toth class (1)

by Sainte Croisine
After a good first night at the Langlade settlement, the students woke up in a gloomy weather. However, although the day was wet, it was also very interesting and the children were able to appreciate the different activities on offer. This morning, the students went to the site of the mouth of the Belle-Rivière. On site, they were able to study through old photographs what has been the evolution of this mouth through the decades. They also made a sketch of the site. The afternoon also filled them while they were able to go fishing in the pond. The goal is to capture several living creatures of this ecosystem. The exploitation of this fishery is scheduled for tomorrow morning. For the rest everyone is like a charm and everyone appreciates this stay. See you tomorrow for more news !

Discovery Class at Langlade – Class of Mr. Toth (2)

by Sainte Croisine
his new day in Langlade was sunny from start to finish! Indeed, the sun was present when we woke up and did not leave us. This morning, after a good breakfast, we analyzed the result of our fishing yesterday at the pond and in the Belle-Rivière. We observed, recognized and classified the different insects harvested. Then, a work was carried out around the identification of the different stages of the cycle of life of the dragonfly. In the afternoon, after a meal that was still very popular, a game was organized around the food chain, it was great! We have a great time, everyone is fine and goes to sleep very quickly at night! We will give you more details about our adventures when we return home! See you tomorrow ! PS: Due to the weather conditions announced, the return can not be done as originally announced. Listen to the announcements Wednesday morning on the radio for more details.

Club reading CM1

by Sainte Croisine
This winter, cm1 students participated in a reading network on the Middle Ages, to become "pages", "squires" or "knights of reading". After seven weeks discovering many albums, novels or documentaries, they present you their favorite books.Long live reading! My favorite book is Renart's story because it's fun when he takes Ysengrin fishing and the wolf's tail stays frozen in the pond. The author is Claude Grosset-Bureau.Diane Reading Level: ♠ My favorite book is Renart's story , by Claude Grosset-Bureau, because Renart is clever and he plays tricks on his uncle Ysengrin who is naïve. Valentine Reading Level: ♠ My favorite book is The True Story of Paulin, the little peasant dreaming of being a knight , Estelle Vidard. I liked the book because Paulin is fighting Drogon, the son of the Lord. I like books with knights bickering. Léane Reading Level: ♠ My favorite book is The True Story of Paulin, the little peasant who dreamed of being a knight . I liked this book because the hero participates in a tournament when he has no right, and he does not do too badly! Jeremy Reading Level: ♠ My favorite book is The True Story of Paulin, the peasant who dreamed of being a knight . I found it amusing that Paulin's dream was to be a knight and have the right to participate in a tournament. Will Paulin become a knight? Quentin Reading Level: ♠ ♠ My favorite book is The True Story of Paulin , a boy who participates in a tournament because he dreams of being a knight. Nathan Reading Level: ♠ The book that I preferred is The punishment of BASENHAU , of Peyo. It's a comic book by Johan and Pirlouit. One day the enemies attack the castle. I like war stories. Theo Reading level: ♠ My favorite book is Arthur Tenor's Golden-eyed Monster , because Elenoror is discovering a wolf she calls Golden Zyeux. She manages to tame it. Noémie Reading level: ♠ ♠ My favorite book is The Ragman , Arthur Tenor. This character is fun, especially when he sits on a guest during the banquet! Katia Reading level: ♠ ♠ My favorite book is The cloth jester ,  Arthur Tenor, because it's funny. Heroes find a magic rag doll, and this object turns into a real jester. This character is full of nonsense. Good reading ! Maelyss Reading level: ♠ My favorite book is William the Conqueror , Martine Laffon, because William, the Duke of Normandy, will attack Harold, the King of England. Harold took his place on the throne. Will Guillaume succeed? Alix Reading level: ♠ ♠ My favorite book is The Real Prince Thibault , by Evelyne Brisou-Pellen, because it's funny. Nobody knew who was neither Thibault nor Guillaume, who amused themselves by deceiving the inhabitants of the castle. The king did not know who his son was. Askya Reading level: ♠ My favorite book is The Real Prince Thibault , by Evelyne Brisou-Pellen, because we do not recognize the two children and we will not know who will become king. Key Reading level: ♠ The real prince Thibault : This is the story of two boys, who are raised together because their mother and their nurse are dead. We do not know who the real king is. Will they find out who the real ruler is? Ingrid Reading level: ♠ ♠ My favorite book is Le Prince Thibault , because the people of the castle no longer know who the prince is, between Thibault and Guillaume. Eva Reading level: ♠ ♠ My favorite book is Tales and legends of the knights of the round table , because it tells stories sad and moving. My favorite is "The Valley without return" because Lancelot must give the ring of Queen Guinevere to the fairy Viviane. The author is Jacqueline Mirande. Meline Reading level: ♠ ♠ ♠ My favorite book is The Knights of the Round Table , by Jacqueline Mirande, because the author was inspired by characters who really existed as King Arthur. There is also adventure. Good reading ! Laora Reading Level: ♠ ♠ ♠

Sea class (1)

by Sainte Croisine
What a beautiful first day! We invested our neighborhoods in the morning and rediscovered the colo: that we are in Langlade! This afternoon, we started the nautical activities. The team "puffins dune" embarked on the puffin, precisely! The brave ones tried themselves to the navigation despite a wind a little sustained which made tilt well the boat. A good scare for some, while others have brilliantly taken the helm. The "Duplicate Hunters" team left for a kayak session on the side of the cove at Ross. Sports session: we had to row hard to fight against the wind! Many sailors were able to taste the water (5 ° at the moment), others were stranded in the seaweed ... but everyone came home delighted and proud of his feat! "The Saint-Pierrais" remained on the ground today: walk to the bottom of the government cove, prisoner ball and swim in the Belle River to finish! After the snack, everyone wrote a travel diary, just to keep track of this wonderful day. See you tomorrow!

After an awakening in the rain, the weather quickly cleared and we were able to continue the water activities. Despite some beautiful gusts of wind, "hunters of duplicates" have distinguished themselves at the helm of the puffin. Some even tested their balance at the front of the boat! It was a lot of fun at times but everyone overcame their fear! Meanwhile, "the puffins of the dune" were throwing themselves into a contest of sandcastles, brilliantly won by Diane! Kayakers enjoyed themselves all day in the water of the Belle River: American descent, large sea snake, raft or even balance games! And bathing, of course! See you tomorrow !

Sea class (3)

This morning, the team "Saint-Pierrais" sailed on the puffin. Our sailors had fun in the government's cove, while the "duplicate hunters" proved themselves by kayak. "The puffins of the dune" found themselves in the plain of the three fir trees for a beautiful part of customs-smugglers! The afternoon was somewhat disturbed by the weather: the zodiac exit came to a halt, the children retreated to the colo for other activities. "Les Saint-Pierrais" happily found the kayaks despite the showers, but the pouring rain and the gusts of wind got the better of them after an hour! In the evening, evenings are pleasant: tales, discoveries of constellations, history of cartography, reading of nautical charts or treasure hunt. We have little time to get bored! More pictures tomorrow!

Class of sea (4)

by Sainte Croisine
What a beautiful day ! This morning our boatmen were able to choose their activity according to their preferences. Some have found the kayaks and the Belle River: lots of balance games, descent rapids with a sail. Others have perfected the puffin maneuver: hold the rudder and stay on course, adjust the mizzen or the jib. The last team took advantage of a zodiac exit to pass under the pierced cape, to observe the guillemots, the gannets, and to raise the lockers. Fishing of the day: some crabs, a hermit crab and a toad. No lobster. This afternoon, we all donned our combi: bathing at the sea (brrrrrr) and then at the Belle River. We ended this week of nautical activities cheerfully. At the end of the afternoon, we continued our learning of nautical charts. We found the place where is the wreck of a schooner (the Union) by using a rule Cras and a compass! Tonight we organized a big hide and seek once it was dark; everyone really enjoyed themselves! Tomorrow is the storage and then back home, the week has really passed quickly. A big thank you to the sailing instructors Thomas, Mathieu and Joani for their great work and energy!
